Introduction
In this tutorial, you will learn how to draw a bouquet of flowers. This bouquet consists of eight different flowers: four roses, two lilies, a daisy, and a sunflower. We will first sketch the outline of the bouquet, then fill in the details. By the end of this tutorial, you will have created a beautiful and realistic drawing of a bouquet of flowers!
Sketch the basic outline of the bouquet
Start by sketching the basic outline of the bouquet. Once you have the outline down, you can start to fill in the details of the flowers. To make things easier, start with the largest flowers first and then fill in the smaller ones.
Draw the individual flowers
Start by drawing the individual flowers. Draw the basic shape of the flower, then add a small circle in the center. This will be the stamen, or male reproductive organ of the flower. Next, add the petals – start with two on each side, then fill in the rest. Make sure to vary the size and shape of the petals for a more natural look.
Once you have the basic shape of the flower down, start adding details. Draw in the pistil, or female reproductive organ, which is located in the center of the flower. Then add some stipple or hatching inside the petals to give them dimension and texture. Finally, finish up by adding leaves around the base of each flower. Start with a simple teardrop shape, then add veins running through each leaf for realism.
Add details to the flowers
Now it’s time to add some details to the flowers. Start by drawing a small circle in the center of each flower. Then add some small petals around the circle. Make sure to vary the size and placement of the petals.
Next, draw some larger petals around the outside of each flower. Again, be sure to vary the size and placement of the petals.
Finally, add some leaves behind the flowers. Start by drawing a small stem for each leaf, then add a curved line for the top of the leaf.
Your drawing is now complete!
Finish the drawing with leaves and stems
Finish the drawing by adding leaves and stems. Start by drawing two curved lines coming from the bottom of the vase. Then, add three small U-shaped lines on each side of the bouquet for leaves. Finish the drawing by adding curved lines for the stems.
