Sketch the basic outline of the flower.
Start by sketching the basic outline of the flower. Try to make the shape as symmetrical as possible. Then, sketch in the petals, starting from the center of the flower and working your way out. Make sure to leave space between each petal. Next, add some lines inside each petal to give them more detail and dimension. Finally, sketch in the stem, leaves, and any other details you want to include. Erase any unwanted pencil lines and you’re finished!

Fertilization occurs when a pollen grain comes in contact with the stigma of a flower; this process is known as pollination. Once pollination has occurred, the pollen grain grows a tube down the length of the style until it reaches an ovule. Fertilization then takes place, and a seed develops.
Add color and shading to your flower drawing.
Now that you have the basic shape of your flower drawn out, it’s time to add some color and shading. You can use any colors you like, but remember that light colors will create a more light and airy feel, while dark colors will create a more dramatic and formal feel.
To add color, simply use a pencil or pen to fill in the petals. If you want to add more than one color, you can use coloring pencils or even paint. To shade your drawing, use a light pencil to lightly sketch in some lines for where the shadows will fall. Then use a darker pencil or pen to fill in those areas. You can also add highlights by leaving some areas white.
